AASI today signed an Agreement with Comair to develop and equip their new Bombardier CRJ900 14 aircraft fleet with the AASI Cost Index PPAS System. The system will be installed in fall 2007 when the new aircraft start to be delivered. This Agreement follows the successful installation of the PPAS on the Comair CRJ100, 200 and 700 fleets, operational since December 2005.

Applied Aeronautical Systems Inc has recently signed an agreement with Horizon Airlines (Horizon Air Industries) to perform a four month operational cost study.
This study is similar to one conducted at Comair and will determine the cost savings and ROI that will be realized if they switch from their present system to using the AASI Cost Index based PPAS system.

Captain Gary Wagner and Dr. Ren Curry made a presentation at the Regional Airline Association Technical Meeting held in June in Washington, DC.
Their presentation dealt with Cost Index performance optimization and demonstrated how PPAS has lead to significant cost savings for Regional Airlines.

Comair completed the Cost Saving Benefits Analysis of their PPAS equipped fleet of 141 CRJs.
In addition to improved on-time performance and safety, fuel burn and mission costs have been reduced significantly. This has provided Comair with an excellent ROI for their AASI designed PPAS system. Comair will present an overview of their PPAS Cost Index system implementation experience and a summary of the benefits to date at the next RAA Flight Technical Meeting in Washington in June 2006.

AASI completed the pre-production coding of the PPAS Electronic Flight Bag Graphic User Interface for Class II EFB solutions.
The application is Java based and allows airlines to easily customize the appearance of the graphic user interface to their personal preferences. The customizable capability of the GUI includes the ability to adjust colour, resolution, screen size and orientation.

AASI signed a contract with U.S. Regional airline Comair to install PPAS booklets on their entire CRJ fleet.
Operational use of PPAS will start at the end of 2005, providing significant fuel savings and cost reductions.
